Thanks BabyBlues and DianeC - You have motivated me to add more to the site! Now on the Portraits page, there is an option for either Charcoal/pastel portraits, or the new link to Oil Portraits.
Actually, I took pictures of my oil portraits a couple of months ago, I have just forgotten/not gotten around to editing them and getting them online. Note, however, that all of these were done within one class period of 2.5 hours, sometimes two classes, and they are simply studies. When the model was gone, that was the end of it. Had I been thinking, I would have brought a digital camera and taken pictures a couple of times for later finish work.
JB, I agree with your observation about the Church painting - that it could use more depth. In fact, as I was painting it, of course I didn't notice, but it was interesting because after the class was done we critiqued our work, and this painting ended up right next to one that had very bright and rich colors, and more contrast. It's interesting how when you are so involved in what you are doing, problem areas are SO hard to see, while someone with fresh eyes or a different perspective can make it obvious.
Very impressive! I hadn't checked out your art work as of yet, I like it allot. I am especially preferential of the charcoal portraits. I think leaving the eyes Cyber-person as such leaves and air of mystery to the person. Its been a while since I have actively been doing an art myself, but I have enough history to be able to enjoy someone elses. How often to you update the sight?
You are very talented, Dimavo. You are great at portraits. I don't paint but think portraits might be more difficult than landscapes or still lifes. I'm very good at admiring creativity and talent in other people. My favorite is English Country Church.

Hi Dimavo,
I love your art work. As an artist myself I enjoy looking at other artist work or their interpretation of things they see, to draw. I especially like the country side scene with the chapel.
Have you heard of screen painting before?
