These things only affect the poor classes of society. Look at the uuper class, they may only be affected slightly and so America still moves onward because America depends on the well off not the poor. If they need more labor they just call up the reserve of Mexicans hiding in between us.

I believe some of the wealthy will feel some strain with all this happening in the stocks and housing crisis. Now that the economy is making a hard turn downwards we may see other things happening too. I just hope we pull out of this soon.

Yes the lower income always carry the brunt along with the middle class. The rich do get kicked hard but have the reserves to ride it through.

The way the stocks continue to go down I believe that we may see something like this depression happening soon. Hopefully 2009 will spell some relief in this but it does not sound very good right now.
