I doubt that. I am sure you will be over the 1,000 post mark before I make the top five. I think there are some on the top five that are impressed I am gaining so rapidly. Only about 20K behind JB now.

I just noticed that there were Three word game type Threads in the Member Wars RPG section that should be in the Jokes section, so I moved them there. The Member Wars section is for Role Playing Games where you act in a certain role and Post within that character or as part of a story line.

I also moved a Thread here about "Funniest Comedian" which belongs in the Movies Board. Now, what does this mean... well Posts in the Joke Board do not count towards Post Count because they are considered to be word games / jokes. However the long Thread moved to the Movies Board is counted. The system automatically calculates all of it. I'm sorry for those of you who were hoping to use the word game Threads to boost your Post count but I only just caught it and it should not have been in the Member Wars Section, however you can continue to participate here. Enjoy.

Well I came to rant and rave that I made it to a 1000 finally--took me a little over a year--but seeing the above post I went and looked and I guess I must have had 93 posts here because I am down to 903--very discouraging...So, Alskann--go for it! I am sure you will be there way before me since this is the only type of "game" I know how to do besides RISK--go figure it belongs under the joke section and is worthless.

Do I note someone is a bit pissed? I'm sorry that you feel that way. Go ahead, JB is here take a good punch. Let me make some points, and please do take into consideration what I am saying and not answer out of anger:

1. Those word games do not belong in the Member Wars Board, I do not know what they were doing there in the first place. Reading of the Sticky Threads of that Board will reveal that it is an RPG Board, not for word games. The Jokes Board contain all of those and for a reason. I do admit that I should have caught that Thread and similar to it before, but I was not in that Board for a long time. Actually the only reason I happened upon it is because I was suddenly getting a lot of Persephone edits on it and was wondering why that is. I began to read and then said to my self "What's going on here?". We also had a new Member that probably thought to himself... I could get 30 posts easy just reply here.

2. Honestly, now be honest... we advertise ourselves as the most mature minded Community on the net, do you think it is fair to have someone to take their time to Post an opinion or news byte about Politics, Religion, Culture, or even make a good character line up for an RPG character, and then have that placed in the same light as a post someone puts to a word game where they just repeat lines? There is a reason the Jokes Board is there, and there is also a reason no one gets FP or Post count for it... the reason being that these kinds of Word Game Threads should not be compared in the same light as other Posts.

3. Now with that said, I am willing to ease the fire that is burning on my head by placing 1000FP in the accounts of all those who participated in that Thread as an appeasement to the Posting Gods, so that I am not sent to Posting hell. All you have to do is just send me an Email saying you want the FP and it is done - no questions asked.

Lastly let me tell you a true story....

When we first started the Community in 2002 it used to be that anything could be posted and counted. Then around 2004-5 we changed that and I personally deleted around 2,500 of my own Posts that I thought were too light to be considered part of an 'intellectual' Community just so we could remain serious. Also, a lot of people do not realize that what you Post here is shown in a larger network - approx. 2,000 web pages, hence we seem to be femaley about what we do here. It is necessary to keep quality as much as possible.

WOW! Well I must first off apologize to you JB. I wrote that this morning and just got in tonight. I did not mean to offend you or make you think I was mad. Reading my post back I can see how you might think that and I really am sorry. Sarcasm (humor wrapped in barb wire!) doesn't always go over as well in print. I was referring to one of the earlier posts where you said

I understand that and again I am sorry. I just saw the thread and went to it to play.

I guess not.

I can see that I really upset you. I don't know what else to say JB except I really did not mean it the way that it came out. If I need more FP I will buy them or post in the appropriate places.

I know you work hard here and I was aware that you did that. I guess I managed to make both of us feel bad. I would never do that intentionally and I hope at some point you will realize that. I appreciate this forum and the great people on it more than you will ever know.

AlaskanLDS, I'm not offended or angry, I was just trying to explain why the Thread is moved to alleviate your frustration because you posted that here and in the 21 Game. There is no need for all these apologies and such... this is being blown out of proportion for just a simple move of a Thread.

Rather off topic, but... You mentioned that you did not feel you could get your Post count up because it was the only game you knew how to play and that basically you could not get a Post count from it. Not true! You know a lot of things and can respond to MANY Threads here, I think you just have not explored the Community enough. Here is a lot of ways you can get a Post count high on a typical day: 1. Put some entries in your Blog, tell us what it's like to get all your pearly whites pulled 2. Look at the Alaskan related Threads, many of them go unanswered, I'm sure you can put input there. 3. Check your own Rave and the Rave Threads of others, sometimes there are replies there with no response. 4. Get involved in an RPG, they are easy and Post counts do count there. 5. Get into Topics you know you can handle easily
