Define A Patriotic Trinidadian
I have addressed this in many Threads here but I noticed we did not have a specific Thread for it. What does being a patriotic Trinidadian or patriotic Tobagonian mean to you? Does being patriotic mean how much you wave the national flag? That you attend fetes? That you celebrate Carnival? That you only say positive things about Trinidad & Tobago and ignore vital issues? What does patriotism mean for you?

Define: Patriotic Trinidadian - Tobagonian (Hover)
For me being a patriotic citizen of Trinidad and Tobago means caring about the future of the country and the people. If I'm patriotic then I will do everything possible to see my country succeed. Sometimes this means getting your hands to a task that you might not like but which will benefit many in return - that's patriotism.
In my opinion you're patriotic when you care about your country so much that you support other Trinis in whatever they're doing. An example is if I love to watch the Brazilians play football but this time they are playing against T&T then of course I will support T&T first because I'm firstly a Trinidadian and not a Brazilian.
Patriotism is defined as love for one's country and in the case of Trinidad it often manifests itself as a love of carnival, soca, parang, chutney, certain foods (Creole and local Indian) as well as a participation or following up on certain sports especially cricket and football.
