Scotland Yard & Local Police

Recently there has been word that Scotland Yard will be sending 15-30 skilled officers to work with the Special Police Unit locally. They will have the power to both investigate and arrest persons as needed. What are your thoughts on this?

I really wonder what good this is going to do. Is it that they are going to be training? Who is going to follow-up? I believe crime here is based on not letting anyone escape for anything, but this is covered in another Thread.

Offtopic but,
There was a joke by one caller on TV6 that said something like... We have doctors coming in from Cuba, we have police coming from the UK, could we have a new Minister of National Security and Prime Minister coming from somewhere else too?
