Depression: Near Death Experience
First of all this Thread is not about Depression in general, you can find the varying effects of Depression in the Psychology Board. My emphasis is on the person who has a NDE and then becomes depressed. I have actually read this a number of times in various NDE accounts. Basically the person having just had a love filled commune with the next life desires to return after encountering the negative parts of this material plane. This Thread is now open for Discussion on this issue and possible causes / preventative measures for someone going through this.
Imagine if you were another planet and it was a place of unfatomable beauty where everyone loved you without end and then... you enter back into a broken injured body where people loved you if you had money or you could be a provider for them, if you were healthy, if you gave them sex, if you spoke their language, if you looked like them....if you agreed with them...and even if they did love you...they might never call you or visit you...
For me, I have been there... I ask God if I could come home..."I am out of here." I only stayed because God intervened...
I had to find a reason to stay... I believe the reason I am here in this world is to tell every being with a soul that God love's them, "no mater what."
I understand what you are trying to say Rudi, and can well imagine I would feel the same. I have not had a NDE, but just looking at life here sometimes makes me depressed. It is actually from reading many NDE that I gain a lot of hope for the peace of the Afterlife.
