Offtopic but,
It doesn't really matter to me, JB... if I want a cloak instead of a veil, isn't that more the bride's prerogative than her relatives'? smile.gif

I think Trini's are pretty much sheep, when it comes to fashion. If they see it and it's brand new, they'll fuss and say they don't like it, then next week everyone will have to have it.

I don't really bother much about what the average Joe likes, or even the latest trends... I buy and/or wear things that I find attractive. In this case... I really like the cloak and never did too much like the fuss of a veil!

Then I say make it an all Irish Fashion extravaganza! No serious, do like they do abroad, you with the cloak and him in traditional Irish wear (whatever that may be), could be something related to chivalry, though you may have to watch the heat.

Well... I'm avoiding the word extravaganza in relation to my wedding! I'd like to have a traditional Irish element to it, so that his family feel more included, though.

I suppose, traditionally speaking, I should be glad he's not Scottish biggrin.gif Bagpipes and Kilts might be a bit much, for Trinidad...

So then you are letting him pick the Irish Fashion styles for men or have you scooped out some pictures of that too?

I think it is a terrific idea to have an Irish wedding! (not to mention, such a unique idea!) I just LOVE the cloak and the first simple dress you posted. I think you will look beautiful. wink.gif

I'd want him to be comfortable in whatever he wears, so I think I'll let him choose what he'd like to wear... just so long as he keeps me informed, that's fine!
