Is that a traditional costume from Japan? I have seen other contestants in the past wearing very nice outfits and not so revealing or short. Yet, in modern times, we see this type of trend very often.

Well you have to give her one for originality. Skimpy outfits is the norm for these days and even though Vincenzo says the women there are more conservative it seems that Miss Japan is not, and probably cannot be if she wants to win the Miss Universe title.
