The Doctrine Of Original Sin - Page 2

QUOTE
Why is it continually thought that they didn't have sex until after the downfall, that the downfall was required to have sex?

Simply Kon, because they were living in a state of completeinnocence, they were basically like two children. Just because they had the bodies of adults it does not mean they were adults in the sense we think about.

QUOTE
Sex between a united couple was not beyond innocence, that sex can only occur due to sin is a church dogma with no biblical backing. Thus there was probably sex before the fall.

The only reason I am saying that they did not have sex before the Fall is simply as I explained above, they were in a state of innocence, therefore they could not have known about it. As I said in a previous post, God gave them two commandments: Multiply and Replenish the Earth and not to eat the fruit of good and evil. They just simply did not know how to fulfill the first one! and there is not scriptural evidence in the Bible suggesting they have fulfilled that commandment prior to the Fall. What the Bible does says is that they chose to disobey God and eat of tree of good and evil and when the Fall takes place, then there is Biblical evidence that they had children.

QUOTE
And it doesn't say they didn't know they were naked.
Genesis 2:25
The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Feeling no shame doesn't mean your not attracted to your mate.

Maybe this following scripture give me light into this:

QUOTE
9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

It is obvious to me by God's reply that Adam and Eve PRIOR to eat the fruit did not know they were naked, otherwise he would not have asked "Who told thee that thou wast naked?".

QUOTE

Genesis 3:2
The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
She obviously knew what was the right thing to do or the wrong thing

She knew the Father told her NOT to eat it, she knew he told her there will be a consequence yet she did not know the consequence of such action. Still a transgression in my mind because the sin enters the world after the Fall. How did she know what "death" meant if nobody had experienced death at that point?
