The Dude Introduction

How does one describe me? Add one part intellectual to one part goofy to two parts totally insane, mix together in one human being and presto! Some may know me as the Pineapple Overlord, the leader of the passion fruit rebellion, others yet may know me simply as 'The Dude' purveyor of all things extraordinary and fantastic! By day, I'm a martial arts instructor and a Holistic Health Practitioner, by night I plot the conquering of the world with my cat. It is my goal it reintegrate the healing aspects back into the martial arts, something that westerners have long since striped away in their commercialization of the arts.

I believe strongly that we are all students in this event that we call life, that we never stop learning, never stop having opportunities to learn, and that even the most learned among us has something to learn (even from the most unlearned among us). I would also like to note that regardless of the amount that I have learned, degrees I have earned, I have learned but one simple truth: My cat will always be smarter than I am...

I make my as martial arts instructor and a Holistic health practitioner. I specialize in traditional chinese medicine.

I was shooting for unique, So I'm glad that it brought some smiles to peoples faces. I am actually really looking forward to this board and hope that I can figure it out well enough to be an active contributor! It took me a little while to find my way back to this post, so I apologize for being late to my own thread!

Actually, I did check out your site and was rather impressed with the simplicity of the design. Now there is no need to be lost, we have the Site Map to get around to each Board. I also suggest that you ensure that you set notifications for each Thread your reply in so that you will know that there are messages here for you. You may also enjoy viewing the Survival and Sports Boards given your background.

Welcome to our little group. If you are serious about discussion, you will most likely find plenty to discuss.

Now, as to finding your topic, you can subscribe to it easily, which will cause the board to send you an email with a link to it whenever anyone posts to this topic. You can, of course, subscribe to any topic that particularly interests you, but too much of that can overwhelm your mailbox.

Another suggestion is to use the "hot topics" link on every page to quickly review all topics that have been active for the last 24 hours (longer if you want to refine the search). I do suggest this mostly if you are checking the board at least once a day.
