In (4 Kings) I found the story of a leper. But this wasn't just any leper, he was the general of the army of the king of Syria. A little Jewish slave girl waited on the lepers wife and told her of a prophet in Israel that could heal the general. His king sent him with gold, and silver, and clothes to the prophet Eliseus.

And Eliseus sent a messenger to him saying: Go, and wash seven times in the Jordan, and thy flesh shall recover health, and thou shalt be clean. (4 Kings 5:10) Then he went down, and washed in the Jordan seven times according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored, like the flesh of a little child, and he was made clean. WOMEN
How women were treated in the Old Testament is something we would not stand for today. But God ordered it, or stood by and watched it happen, repeatedly. Women, at that time, were obviously not equal in the eyes of men or God. They were just tools, or pawns, or sex objects to be used to the best advantage of both God and man. The first account of man using a woman to his advantage is the story of Abram going into Egypt. He was afraid of the Egyptians, so he
told his wife;

"I know that you are a woman beautiful to behold. When the Egyptians see you, they will say, "She is his wife"; then they will kill me, but will spare you. Therefore, say you are my sister so that I may be treated well on your account, and my life may be spared for your sake. (Genesis 12:10) |
QUOTE |
"The Lord has kept me from bearing; go into my maid; perhaps I shall get children through her." (Genesis 16:2) |

...named the Lord, who spoke to her: "You are the God of Vision"; for she said, "Have I really seen God and REMAINED ALIVE after my vision?" (Genesis 16:13) |
QUOTE |
"Where are the MEN who came to your house tonight? Bring them out that we may abuse them." Lot went out to the men, and shut the door behind him, and said, "I entreat you, brethren, do not act wickedly. I have two daughters who have not known man. Let me bring them out to you; do as you please with them. Only do nothing to these men, for they have come under the shelter of my roof." (Genesis 19:5) |

Later, when Lot lost his wife, he led his (still) virgin daughters away from Sodom to live in a cave in the hills. His daughters must have grown tired of the isolation, because

...the elder said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man in the land to marry us as is the custom everywhere. Let us give our father wine to drink, then lie with him, that we may have offspring by our father." (Genesis 19:32) Thus both daughters of Lot were with child by their father. (Genesis 19:36) |

"None of you shall approach a close relative to have sexual intercourse with her. I am the Lord." (Leviticus 18:6) |
Dear "Saved" thank you for your opinion. I'll be sure to file it.
Filing it won't do you any good, you have to accept Jesus into your life and stop looking for errors in the Bible. The gospel of Jesus is where it's at so nevermind the what a few books in the Old Testament had to say.
Saved, I have to assume that, unlike the majority of christians, you don't believe in the complete in errancy of the Bible? I'm good with that, but don't you think that if some of the Bible can simply be discarded, that you can simply discard what ever else of the Bible that makes you uncomfortable? And if you can't, then you have to reason through every bloody battle that god commanded in the old testament.
