Afghan officials: Government forces retake Kunduz from Taliban
Afghan officials say government forces have retaken control of the northern city of Kunduz, which was seized by the Taliban on Monday, local media and the Associated Press report. Capturing the city marked the biggest victory for the Taliban since U.S. Forces ousted the radical Islamist group from power in 2001. U.S. Aircraft launched several airstrikes in recent days to protect coalition forces in the Kunduz area. Ref. USAToday
This is proof that military action is usually not a solution for social thinking. The people there are not willing to truly rise up to the Taliban because the Taliban is part of the culture - part of the way to get an income from a place where getting an income can be very difficult.
