I think that is taking things a bit far. Being able to demonstrate is something that people should be able to do as long as they remain peaceful. If it turns to be violent then arrest those who are violent and leave the peaceful people alone. I believe there may be some truth to the fact that there may be some elements in a protest who are there to incite the others to become violent. Those are the ones we need to watch for and identify so that they can be arrested, charged and no longer in the picture to cause civil unrest.

Yes, way too far. Peaceful protest is a protected right of all Americans. Planning a peaceful protest is part of that. If the protest turns violent due to unforeseen events it shouldn't fall back on the planners. That would be like suing the city engineer because people have an accident at a stoplight when they run a red light. They aren't sticking to the plan. Now, if the plan is for it to turn violent, that's a different case entirely.
