Ethiopia: 75 protesters killed by security forces, claims Human Rights Watch:
At least 75 people have been killed during weeks of protests in Ethiopia. That's according to Human Rights Watch (HRW), which says soldiers and police have been firing on demonstrators. Students have been venting their anger over government proposals to take over take over territory in the Oromia region. Ref. Source 4g
Ethiopia: 33 Killed as Protest Violence Escalates:
Demonstrations in the country's Oromia and Amhara regions sparked the worst violence seen since January. At least 33 people were killed during the clashes in Oromiya, where opposition against the government is most intense. Ref. Source 4m.
Ethiopia already suffered many casualties, bad history and circumstances. The protesting only makes it all worse, but at the same time there is no choice when there's some sort of political activity upsetting the public. Hopefully foreign nations can help the Ethiopian people from this point.
