Greece hit by 3-day strike over pension, tax increase:
Workers kick off the 48-hour strike to protest new austerity measures in Athens and as a result, garbage collection to public transport services were closed on Friday. Ref. Source 1t.
Greek riot police do not mess around. They tend to give you one warning, and then they start using gradually more damaging means to disperse a crowd. This process could culminate in lethal force for particularly dangerous unrest. Greece will use tools such as water cannons, tear gas, riot police with batons and shields, troops with bayonets sheathed, troops with bayonets unsheathed, rubber bullets, and bullets as a last resort.
