Sports I Cannot Understand

Is there a sport that you just do not understand? A lot of people sometimes say, 'Cricket' and others might say, 'Water Polo'. Which sports just does not make sense to you?

Understand I Sports

One sport that didnt make any sense to me in the recent Olympics was Handball. It seems to be a combination of indoor football and water polo. I just couldnt get into the game.

In Australia, everybody goes nuts over Rugby League. I don't know why though.
Who would invent a game where you have to throw the ball backwards to move forward?

Understand I Sports

There are three sports I never understood even though people tried to explain it over and over, I just do not get it:

1) Cricket (boring... A game that is being stopped every 5 seconds!)

2) American Football (I watch it and think, what's the purpose of the game? Who will break first the leg of someone of the opposite team?)

3) Baseball (chewing gum, fancy moves, body language....and....so? What is the game all about?).

Understand I Sports

That is too bad to hear LDS_forever, because those are my 3 of my favorite sports. I dont blame you for not liking them or understanding them, but I do think that once one takes the time to sit down with someone who likes the sport and can explain it to them, then most likely that person will develop a liking for the sport as well. Understanding the sport is the key to liking it.

Sports I Cannot Understand

I never understood Rugby. I just don't understand why do the players hit into eachother on the start. Then someone runs and the passes and the tactics. I also don't know the rules very well ... When can someone kick the ball and how much points are scored for some event or other ...

I understand other sports preety well. (Even though there could be some sports at which I wouldn't have an idea about and I wouldn't understand it if you pointed it out too me.)

Sports I Understand

I understand all sports if you are referring to the rules and why things are done the way they are. But I never could understand the point of Boxing. What's the purpose of hitting the other guy harder than he hits you? How is that a sport? There seems to be no purpose other than to inflict enough pain to where the other guy gets knocked unconscious. Pretty lame in my opinion.

Sports I Understand Movies Music Fashion & Sports

The sport I have the most trouble understanding is Soccer. I mean, there are sooo many rules involved, like no hands, but you can use your forarms, and on and on. Also, There are like 200 different throw in places, how would you know which one to go to? I would definately have to say that Soccer is the hardest game to understand.
