Invoking the familiar names of blacks who died at the hands of police, thousands are marching today in Washington, D.C. And New York to protest what they see as rampant racial injustice.
Relatives of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice and other unarmed black men killed by police filled a podium to address the protesters in D.C. "This is a history-making moment," Said Garner's mother, Gwen Carr.
The protesters are demanding a more aggressive federal response to recent slayings by police. They call their fight a human rights struggle. Ref. CNN
The issue of race is always in America's daily life. Just because the civil rights movement changed so many things in the past it does not mean things are totally equal for all races in 2014. I agree fully with protesting this, I do not agree with the building burning, looting or hurting people who aren't even connected to the racism issue.

Thousands of protesters have taken to the streets of several US cities Wednesday evening chanting anti-Trump slogans.
In New York and Chicago, demonstrators targeted Trump buildings. In Austin, Texas, protesters blocked a highway. Students walked out of class in high schools and colleges across the country the day after Donald Trump was declared winner of the presidential election.
"Not my president, not today," was a chant heard at protests from Boston to Los Angeles. Ref. CNN.
While I think everyone has a right to protest and do it peacefully I also think you should have something to protest about. Just protesting because your candidate did not get elected does not make you a protester as much as it makes you look like a cry baby. Some one had to win and someone had to lose. Now that the election is over it is time to come back together as Americans and be united once again.
The protests were more than that… they did not want to see gay rights trampled on, blacks being targeted, illegals deported and abortion removed. The irony is if Trump loss and the other side was having these protests they would have said it was because Trump was [instigating] it.

I could care less which party won and who is protesting. IF Clinton won and they were protesting I would be saying the same things.
I know many people are fearing this and that is going to happen but you have to remember that there are many out here that will stand up and do all we can to see that the rights of others are not trampled on. I challenge everyone to be part of the solution to the issues not be part of the problem.
