'Acts of domestic terror': Trump urges states to deploy National Guard, says he will call in US military if protests aren't controlled. Declaring himself a "Law and order" president, Trump said if governors couldn't get their states under control, that he would "Deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them." Trump delivered the remarks as peaceful protesters were cleared from around the White House by law enforcement officials with shields and tear gas. Ref. USAToday.
Nationwide protests show no sign of slowing down. Protests and demonstrations in the wake of the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after a now-fired Minneapolis police officer kept a knee to his neck for nearly nine minutes, aren't expected to slow down Wednesday. Curfews will also likely continue another night; Seattle already has one in place for Wednesday and Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Tuesday the curfew across Los Angeles County will continue until the "Protests are gone." Ref. USAToday.
But wait, didn't Trump say that the country hasn't experienced unity like it has since he was president? Oh please… those pictures show what is going on in America now and it needs to stop.

President-elect Joe Biden calls swarm on US Capitol 'insurrection'; President Trump asks everyone 'to remain peaceful'. Biden said the rioting with smashed windows and rummaging through Senate desks didn’t reflect a true America. Rioters swarmed the Capitol, storming the House and Senate chambers on the second floor of the building with shouts and flags. At least one rioter entered the Senate chamber and shouted from the dais: “Trump won the election.” Ref. USAToday.
It is really sad to see how our capitol has gone to ruins with mobsters and terrorists thinking they are somehow patriotic because they can smash windows and sit in offices of elected officials.
