WARNING: my poetry is generally romantic, girly slush, and while it's been published in the US, the book hasn't really gotten high mileage, just yet
That said, if you continue reading - it's at your own risk!
This poem is published, in the book "Voices of Poetry" released in October of this year by Regent Publishing, Dallas TX
Freedom
It's the way you look at me
When you think that I won't see
The way you touch me
Even in the slightest way
The way you laugh
When the wind messes up my hair
These are things I miss when you"re not here.
But when you"re with me
I just don't know what to say
It's there in my heart
But the words get in the way
Maybe I"m frightened,
But I must say this to be free
I love you and only you for eternity

I can only say that it is beautiful prose and I am honored that you are willing to share an excerpt from your book with us. Are you the kind of poet that has to be in the mood to write this kind of romantic feelings or does it just come naturally?
Tell some more of your book. What inspired you to compile it?
Offtopic but, I know a Lisa Dopwell, any relation? |

QUOTE (Trinichic) |
Sometimes, like with this one, it is an emotion I couldn't express face-to-face, so I needed to get it out some other way. |
Offtopic but, Ah, I know Lisa and Carlos from Church, and use to see them often before they moved to Central. When you hear / see them again please give them a "Hello" from me. |
