Literature student Anastasia Steele's life changes forever when she meets handsome, yet tormented, billionaire Christian Grey.
When this movie first came out it was a big hit. I happened to come across it at IMDB and was shocked that it was downgraded by so many bad reviews. Seems like a lot of BSDM people were saying that it does not portray them well and glorifies domestic violence. For me this movie was far more than that. This love story is about a young man that was abused. He did not know what love is and experienced things that he thought showed him love and pleasure at the cost of enslaving another. He needs help and his relationship with Ana was helping him in a way. I wonder how it all turned out in the end.
I enjoyed the movie. I had mixed feelings about how easily Anastasia Steele gave in to Christian Grey's weirdness. If he was some guy on the lower end of the street living in a scrappy apartment would she have taken him seriously?
