It has been over 40 years since we have become an independent nation yet we still appear to be chained by our unability to be liberated in our way of thinking and behaviour. I am a 22 year old Trinidadian who is absolutely fed up with the things I see taking place in this country. Now just to let you know my fanily are die hard PNM while I on the other hand have not seen a political party worth my time or energy(so you can imagine how they respond to that).
Form year to year we have governments who come into power fatten their pockets (and friends as well) then leave for another to come and do the same while ours country suffers. I have yet to see a government that truly cares for the people and their country but quite honestly I blame the citizens. We have the power in our hands and we just misuse it or better yet not use it at all. It is time for us to wake up and take a stand for our country and not for the quickest dollar that can be made out of the politricks being played.
There is a saying " If we don't stand for something you will fall for everything" There is no doubt Trinbago is falling down a slippery slope and if we dont make some drastic changes we will find ourselves at a point of no return. 20/20 vision is a vision yet to materialise since our eyes need to first be open to be able to see anything in the first place.
