What is the best thing about your job?

Job Love I

The best thing about my job is that I am rarely in the same office twice in a week and even better I am always working on some different piece of equipment or software. It really is stimulating not knowing what town or even state I will be working in today. I never know who I might get to see. What problems I might face on any of a number of pieces of equipment. I have really found that being a "Master of MOST trades* really keeps me on my toes. It is very refreshing not to be chained to a desk or staring at a single computer screen every day.

I Love This Job History & Civil Business Politics

What I love about my present (because I am a student) job is that I work from home over the computer so I can make my own hours, and all from the comfort of my own home. I also work for my parents, which makes life simple. I also get to use what I have learned about color and design, as I create web ad-pages. ALSO (wow, there are a lot of benefits!) I live in Idaho, where minimum wage is $5.50, but my parents live in Oregon, where minimum wage is $7.50. As a result, my wage ends up being higher than my husbands at the present time (fortunately we earn more than minimum wage - but of course it affects the earning potential in jobs with higher wages as well).

Even though this thread is for reasons I love my job, I have to mention the one thing about my job that gets me into trouble... I get very easily distracted with the internet, and especially this forum!

Job Love I

I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to do two thing at once, one which is a necessity and the other a love of mine. The first is to earn a living. Since I do that with mindless data entry, I am able to read as much as I want for the first time in many years. By listening to books on tape or CD, I can read while working, which I love to do. Not only that but if I'm reading a novel, or something a little frivolous, I can do it without guilt because I'm being productive at the same time. I'm so lucky my work is mindless and I have no ambition to make it otherwise.

The best thing about my current job is that no two days are ever the same. I work on the phone with customers daily, and it surprises me to no end all the different problems and scenarios that customers can encounter. I find myself having to come up with innovative solutions, and using logic is something that I absolutely love.
