Tidejwe Introduction - Page 2

Tidejwe, you gave me no option but to erase your last post on the Baptism thread. If you notice, it is within the Bible Revealed Board. It is not the LDS doctrine board or Studies of Latter-Day Saints board, therefore you cannot quote LDS scriptures or quote LDS Prophets within that board. Everything has to come from the Bible. Please keep that in mind for future reference. Also keep in mind to add "In my opinion" everytime you are stating your personal thoughts on a matter (example of "LDS views on Cain") otherwise it makes it look "factual" when in fact is just an opinion. Thanks for your understanding.

Introduction Tidejwe

OK, I am very confused here...I have had one post deleted and chastised for another. I understand there is an LDS doctrinal section for LDS members to discuss things. Also, in this welcome thread I am asked to help explain our beliefs in the LDS thread for non-LDS people. Yet, when I do I am chastised. In both posts I mentioned that it was an opinion as the rules state, and then I used references to back up the opinions to show WHY we or I believe that. These people all asked for LDS member's opinions and explanations, yet if I give an opinion or explanation, it is deleted or chastised even when I state it is an opinion. I am very confused. I did read the forum rules and everything, so I am TOTALLY confused as to why I would be punished such...what am I missing? At first I thought I wasn't allowed to post in the forum at all, and then I noticed that other LDS MEMBERS were posting in the threads answering their questions. Some even posted links to LDS explanations etc as referrences without being chastised. What is going on? Why are we not allowing non-members to understand what we believe even when they specifically ask for our opinion and our explanation? I am totally lost...really I am...I couldn't see anything wrong with my posts, so if anyone can explain what I did wrong, PLEASE elaborate because I am very disappointed right now especially when other people were allowed to do the same thing...

Tidejwe, first off do not become hyper. You must first understand that this is an International Community and not an LDS Community. You can ONLY bring up LDS Doctrine in the LDS Boards - period.

You went to the Bible Revealed Board and posted a whole message based on LDS Doctrine, I want you to go to that Board and read what it says at the top of every page.

You then posted a discourse in the 'Studies of Latter-Day Saints' in a way as though the people you address understood what the terms 'Lamanites', 'Jaredites' and other names meant. This Board is for Non-LDS Members to ask questions and for us to help them understand at a level they can. If you want to get 'deep' then go to the Thread Factual posted - you will note that Factual posted it there for a reason.

With regards to links - you need to read our policy on 'Links to External Sites' within the FAQ Board. Keep in mind that this is not MySpace, we have strong rules and policies that everyone must be adhered to.

Lastly, may I suggest not being so long winded in your posts as the length does not inspire Discussion, but instead does the opposite. It may also help you to adjust to here and give others greater interest in what you have to say.
