People have long suspected that some of the asteroids have a lot of water on them in the form of ice. This is not big news to me. I think we can harness some asteroids and being them in closer to harvest the minerals they have on them.

Ice Water Asteroid

The first post was from News since 29th Apr, 2010 and back then scientist detected water and now more than 4 years later they've sent a probe to actually land and check it out. This could mean that temporary life could exist on an asteroid? Getting access to light might be a problem though?

Light is an issue but it depends on the orbit of the asteroid. I think a temporary base could be setup and if the water is drinkable then it will be easier to sustain life because dry rations can be taken in bulk.
