Amazingly I find that there are other people much like myself who defy genre categories. I myself am a doctor of Chinese medicine (acupuncture, herbs, qigong and associated healing therapies). I am also a teacher of said medicine as well as a martial arts instructor. I am also in mid-production of a martial arts documentary and I practice Buddhist meditation.
I'm looking forward to interacting with a stimulating crowd and perhaps learning more about what RPG players are into these days. I'm an old timer to the field having been an AD&D player in the early 80's. I've recently started playing v.3.5 and am encountering the steep learning curve. It bears very little resemblance to the old system, but then again I've changed a lot as well.
Catch you all later.

I hope that you will share your insight on Buddhism and meditation of the like, I am very interested in it. I ultimately hope for someone from every religious perspective, and you fulfill part of the hope. Welcome to the community, I look forward to conversing with you!
I'm happy to share what I've learned. I've been fortunate enough to have some excellent teachers. You'll find that I am a true iconoclast and will champion the cause of personal freedom, especially freedom from ignorance, desire and anger. I don't believe in "empowerment" the way it's used in self-help circles. Empowerment only separates peoples and ideas and creates distinctions. I prefer to see the unity of humanity (not to be confused with uniformity). Let's all get along (OK I like little sarcasm too.).
Thanks for reading.
