It seems like there are some big disagreements between him and the way the team is administered with Kobe calling it as being a mess. I am sure other teams will not mind grabbing him up as he is one of the great names in the NBA today.
Well, he had a heart to heart with Phil and things are smooth now. But really, all he has to do is look at the salary chart and figure things out. He, Odom and Brown are already about 60% of the budget. They have 20 million to spread around between 7 players. If you get a big name (10-15 million) that means you have absolutely no bench. No one is going to buy Brown, but you might get a buyer for Odom. However, Odom was pretty good when healthy and would be hard to replace. Kobe can stay, but wanting to get paid like a superstar does have its drawbacks. Why do you think Jordan played for so little! That's how they were able to afford all that talent around him. However, Jordan made his money off of endorsements...since Kobe's run ins with the law that area hasn't been as lucrative as it once was (but I am starting to see comercials and posters with him now, so it must be getting better).
