The Memphis Grizzlies have clinched a playoff spot. What? Yes folks, the Grizzlies are going to the playoffs for only the second time in their short history. You might wonder who is even on the Grizzlies; unless of course you live in Tennessee. Interestingly enough, they have a very good roster. Here are some names:
Pau Gasol
Mike Miller
Eddie Jones
Damon Stoudamire
Bobby Jackson
Shane Battier
Chucky Atkins
Mike Fratello has led the team to a 13 over 500 record, and with Jerry West as the GM, look for more marquee players to join the Grizzlies in the near future.
I didn't watch Game 1 vs the Mavericks but it sounds like the Grizzlies really gave them all they could handle, and on the road. I don't expect them to win the series, but with the talent they have, they can push it to a 6 game series possibly. Final score of game 1 was 103-93 in favor of Dallas.
Although it is impossible for me to ever acknowldege a Florida Gator alumni as 'good', Mike Miller is deserving of this award:
