The Rockets are already out of playoff contention, so this is not a severe blow to the team at this point in the season. The last place team in the SouthWest division of the Western Conference is a far cry from the team in the 90's that won 2 Championships in a row, led by one of the greatest centers to play the game, Hakeem Olajuwon. Can Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming and Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy bring the franchise back to the promised land?

If there was going to be a major injury, this was the year. Yao was playing by himself most of the time because the Rockets have failed to build a good team around him. However, it will take time to see what kind of impact this has on Yao's career and the future of the Rockets.

This has to be good news for Rocket fans everywhere. Now only if McGrady can stay healthy next season, and Juwan Howard can contribute like he used too.
