Life After Death!
Professor is totally convinced after near-death experience
From "Challenge" newspaper, Melbourne Australia, October 2000
A university professor of art who openly dismissed the idea that there was life after death, had his life transformed by a near death experience in Paris. Dr Storm, professor of art at the Northern Kentucky University, was leading a group on art tour of Europe. While in Paris, he was taken suddenly and violently ill in his hotel room. "I felt as though I'd been shot," he recalls. He fell to the floor screaming in pain.

I think every atheist and every hellfire preacher should have a NDE to get the inside scoop on who they are all pissy about. I have had atheist say my NDE was a hallucination and preachers say I saw the devil...but if they had a NDE, they would never think that way...
I'm actually taking a course in school about the Near-Death experience. They all come back with the same story. God is love. There is nothing more important in this world than Love. Pure, positive Love. It is a wonderful thing.
There is no greater truth than to know that God loves every soul ...no matter what.
If we put junk on our soul while we live in physical bodies...the junk stays dies but the love goes with us when we arrive in our home in heaven. Our goal should be as much of the us into heaven as we can.

I am surprised no one touched what I see as a significant or mysterious part of his experience, and that is his following after those that led him to darkness. I thought it was so unique that he could not ascertain that these 'spirits' were in fact evil and seeking to destroy him. Maybe his lack of discernment was directly caused by his own disbelief.
On another note, I was just thinking... what is love as defined by someone with a NDE? Is love based on charity, kindness, acts of good deeds to others and so forth?
In the end it is all love...what remains after death dies...and what is not love is actually the abscence of love...nothing...
I think my definition of love is based on intentions... If our intentions are kindness...joy... imagine the difference between laughing at someone and joyfully laughing.... imagine doing something from a place of fear or a place of love... Our intentions are what makes up what we are in the spiritual world... What is from a place of fear stays in a place of the dead and dying but there is no fear in heaven and there is joyful laughter in heaven...

In the book Lessons From The Light by Kenneth Ring, JB -- There is a chapter entitled "In the Light of Love: The Lesson of Self-Acceptance. I think this might be what you are looking for as far as the NDE-version of "love."
"Everyone is loved infinitely, and with incredible compassion. There is a plan or, one might say, a kind of blueprint for everyone's life, and, while we each are free to embrace or reject it, the Light is there to help us find it. If we can open ourselves to the Light, invoke it into our lives, we will, in time, be shown our own way. What kills judgement; what heals is love. The Light itself is only love, and it never judges; instead, it gently nudges you toward your essential self. It wants you to realize that your core being is the Light -- it is not something external to you. Of all the teachings in the world, the greatest is love. And all of the lessons of the NDE, none is greater than the importance, indeed the primacy, of love. And what the NDE teaches about love is that everything is love and is made of love and comes from love. "
If you read any religious text and you don't get the message of love then you have
missed the mark. It is a continual thing though...Once we believe God is love...we need to keep believing and what we believe will be who we are. It is like a seed that gets that first bit of rain...the seed turns into a young plant but then there comes a drought...the plant dies and can not poduce any new seeds. Unless we keep feeding our body, soul, and mind with the absolute knowledge that God=Love then we will never produce the seed that first brought us up from darkness into the light. Love is the answer to every question that survives this life. Thank you for the wonderful information.
