Sacagawea
Who was Sacagawea and why is she not as popular as Pocahontas?
Sacagawea was a very great woman who guided Lewis and Clark on their explorations of the western portion of the United States. I don't really know why she is not as popular as Pocahontas, because to me, she is much more important and relevant. She led a very intriguing and amazing life. I highly reccomend a book written about her. It is Sacajawea by Anna Lee Waldo. It was published in the late 70's, so your local library may have it. If not, you simply must order it! It's available cheaply on Walmart's website.
