The Toronto Maple Leafs have fired Pat Quinn as their head coach. The Leafs missed the NHL playoffs this season.

So Pat Quinn misses the playoffs, by a couple of points, for the first time in his 7-year tenure as Maples head coach and second time in his 19-year career as a coach, and what does he get in reward? Fired! Granted Toronto hasn't won a Stanley Cup since '67 but this is ridiculous. Good luck to whoever has to fill Quinn's shoes in Toronto.

Like I said before, good luck to Paul Maurice; he is going to need it. The Maple Leafs are a storied franchise, and until someone brings them back to dominance, they will always be a scapegoat.

I agree with you on that malexander. The team is always sold out and makes money hand over fist so why bother trying to have a top place team. If that changes just perhaps we Leaf lovers will not have to shake our heads in frustration. Paul is a good choice but I am sure we will see no change.
