Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are one of those teams that have fallen on hard times in the last decade. Their last playoff appearance was in 1994. This year was no different as they finished last in the Pacific division with a 34-48 record, and 10 games out of the Western Conference playoff race. The Warriors actually have a good group of players in Jason Richardson, Baron Davis, Derek Fisher, Mike Dunleavy and rookie Ike Diogu. Interestingly enough, all the other teams in the Pacific division made it to the NBA Playoffs this year, which shows how strong that division really is.

I really thought their team would be better this year. Its not like they are not playing like a team. Byron Davis is second overall in assists. It seems like they have trouble putting the game away. You cannot be up by ten with thirty seconds to play and lose by four. They need to start finishing what they start, play the entire game, not just the first 50 minutes.

The Warriors remind me of the Clippers team a few years back that had a lot of young talent in Brand, Richardson, Miles, etc, but just couldn't put games away. They may be able to improve from this year, but with the rest of the talent in that division, I think they are a few years away from any post season appearances.
