According to CTV News, Kamla Persad-Bissessar will be traveling to Brazil for the remainder of the World Cup on invitation by the Brazilian leadership, however before she leaves Kamla Persad-Bissessar will make an important announcement. It is said that the topic might be about outstanding monies for the Soca Warriors.

I'm all for anyone getting what they deserve but I can't help but think that the money could have been better used to help those who really need it. There are honest hard working in this country trying their best everyday who get no help whatsoever, it is unfair to have the government dish out 7-8 million to a few and give nothing to so many!

The local media is consistently covering the Christmas giveaways by the Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar as she visits various parts of the country. Some of the complaints / allegations are:

1. Giving hampers in certain constituencies but requiring others to collect it from the Diplomatic Centre.

2. That regardless of where the money is coming from to fund all the giveaways (Toys, hampers) the public should know who is sponsoring it.

3. Some journalists were discreetly given $1,000 in an envelope. The Hon. Kamla Persad-Bissessar claimed no knowledge about it but said the journalist are free to return it.

The Hon. PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar had a national announcement about her asking for the resignation of the Attorney General and the firing of the Minister of national Security. In addition to this, the Hon. OM Kamla Persad-Bissessar has asked for the revocation of a number of her cabinet Ministers and the appointment of new Ministers including have the NJAC leader as the new Minister of National Security. In her announcement she seemed to put a lot of blame on the Opposition Leader for not bringing the current matter in the public domain to her attention before the appointment of the PCA director.

Why did the prime minister choose to use that setting almost like a political debate and almost make like her own investigation into the matter part of her speech? Plus why release Gary Griffith? He is not under investigation!

Best is all the changes in her cabinet, things falling apart.

Mrs. Persad-Bissessar came out today like a mother hen overseeing her chicks. She cleaned up those that she felt was not following her orders and is moving on. Those who don't like it can merely look on in disbelief.
