Dating 101

The purpose of this thread is to share your 'secrets' of a successful date, tips, anything that may help someone!

For me these are the points that are very important on a date:

1. The guy MUST go to pick up the girl, and knock the door of the house and introduce himself (Not to beep the horn!)
2. Guys! please open the door of your car for the girls!
3. Girls, wait for the guys to open the door for you!
4. As a woman I know this one is really hard to do for us...PLEASE girls, DO NOT talk too much on your first date!. Guys tend to be turn-off for that and they even fall asleep if you overdo...
5. Guys, HAVE MANNERS in the table, the burping and the yawning with the wide open ARE NOT appropriate for a date! Not to mention, if you forgot to use deodorant.... :o

There are plenty more I will be adding it. I look forward to see your responses!

Dating

I am definitely not a dating expert, but the best tip I can offer to guys is to be yourselves. I know that sometimes we try to impress a girl on the first date and sometimes that equates to becoming someone else. Girls, tell me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you would rather find out sooner than later what a guy is really like, right?

I think it's important not to go on and on about past relationships on the first date. You can mention about being previously married, if that comes up. But don't go into to much detail. The first date should be about focusing on the present. Later on, after several dates you can go into more detail, but only if asked about it.
