This ban does not seem logical. If smoking was banned near public building entrances, then where would the building's employees smoke while on break? Will the Canadian government start painting smoking sections in the parking lots to make car free zones for smokers to smoke their cigarettes?
Actually that is what is to be done. A spot more then 25 feet from any entrance and clear of traffic or any other dangers is to be designated for smoking. I used to smoke and quit due to rising costs and hoping to maybe see retirement do appreciate that going for a quarter mile hike and having to stand in minus 40 F weather is unfair also.
I always felt a well vented spot that is at least inclosed enough to block the wind should be given for these people or just plain stand up and say we are the boss and smoking here on is banned period.
Might make things more interesting for pot users.
