Out of Character: Well spotted! I didn't even think about the channeled area.
In Character: "Ian, you can take care of it, right?"
He takes off down the stairs, in the lead. He skims the surfaces with his eyes, for telltale signs of traps.
Perception: 13 +5 = 18
Gorion and Salius follow Twilek down the stairs, eager to catch Tsuto and the goblins. As they run down the stairs, Gorion says,
"Keep an eye out for Ameiko! She is probably still in the building!"
When they reach the bottom of the stairs, Gorion and Salius both scan the room for any signs of Ameiko, Tsuto, or the goblins.
Out of Character:: Gorion Perception Check: 8+1=9
Salius Perception check: 20+2=22
Twilek, Gorion, and Salius make their way down the stairs. At the bottom of the steps Tsuto and the goblins await them.
Ian misses with his attacks and the goblin misses with his retaliation. Resfrix waits at the top of the stairs.

Canabusis' Rise Of The Runelords RPG Main Game (Hover)
In seeing that it doesn't seem to give up, I want to force it to give up, instead of having to kill it. I drop my sword so I can use both my shieldhand and main hand, and then I attempt a grapple. This provokes an attack of opportunity.
CMB for Grapple check: 15
While grappling I want to talk to it as scary and intimidating as I can:
Intimidate check if necessary: 15
Twilek shouts, "What have you done, Tsuto? Just stop this farce! Tell them to stand down!"
He moves up and reaches 15' past the goblins to trip Tsuto if possible, otherwise tripping a goblin.
Out of Character:
CMB: Nat1 +3 = 4
Now, if that's a failure by 10 or more against CMD, Twilek would get tripped instead. But, if he has to, he chooses to let go of his whip, since it has the Trip weapon quality.
Ian grapples the small goblin, he has the upper hand.
Twilek attempting to trip Tsuto, underestimates his opponent and is taken down instead with a quick move from Tsuto and some luck, there is a snag on his whip as Twilek pulls back the snag releases and Twilek falls to the ground from the lack of resistance from the whip as he pulls back with much of his strength, throwing his weight off balance.
As Twilek remains prone on the floor in front of two goblins and Tsuto, Gorion comes forth as one of the goblins attempt to attack Twilek. Gorion swings with his sword and cleanly slices the vein in the goblins neck, incapacitating him. The second goblin slips in the blood of the first and misses with his blade. Tsuto shoots an arrow at Gorion and hits him in the fleshy part of his upper arm, inflicting a burning pain.
Salius casts mage armor on himself before trying to move into battle.
Resfrix stands at the top of the stairs listening to the commotion below while watching Ian grapple the goblin in the room.
Out of Character:: One goblin down. Gorion takes 3 points of damage.
I keep on grappling it while punching it, trying to make it unconscious.
CMB to hold the grapple: 21
Damage with unarmed strike (Grapple allows me to deal damage with a light weapon without rolling for an attack).
4 nonlethal damage dealt to it by a punch on the head.
In the following rounds I will keep on doing the same, and just in case I will roll the dice from now:
CMB: 19, Damage: 4
CMB: 15, Damage: 6
CMB: 12, Damage: 5
