New York escapee David Sweat has been shot and is in custody, law enforcement sources tell CNN's Alexandra Field and Deborah Feyerick.
The escaped murderer was taken into custody about two miles from the Canadian border and was taken to a hospital, according to one law enforcement source.
His prison-break partner Richard Matt was killed by a tactical unit on Friday.

These men signed their deaths when they escaped. They probably didn't want to go back ever because they were already serving very long sentences and had nothing to lose. On the other hand, the woman who helped them escape will have many long years ahead of her in prison over this - poetic justice.
