NOTE: This thread does NOT discuss the ethics of what terrorists are doing, but the technology by which they are doing their destruction.
TERRORISM ON THE WEB
Islamic militants who want the world to witness their attacks and beheadings
in Iraq have engineered new ways to ensure their videos appear on the
Internet, defying efforts to banish them from cyberspace.

One of the main reasons that their terror acts will remain on the net is file sharing utilities. A commonly used program is called Bit Torrent. They upload torrent files to anonymous and commonly used tracker sites. I know at least two friends of mine that watch stuff like that and always download the newest beheading video off of one of three different bit torrent sites that are outside the US. If you type in beheading on Kazaa or and other Gnutella file sharing utility, you will get multiple hits for terror beheadings and other tortures that get uploaded and made available for free through file sharing. Terrorists will continue to use it because there is no way to stop it with out infringing on others right.
Thirteen Anonymous members indicted
A US jury on Thursday indicted 13 members of the internet hacking group Anonymous for allegedly carrying out cyber-attacks worldwide, including targets that refused to process payments for WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy website founded by Julian Assange. Ref. Source 9
