Do you live in an area where there are a lot of trees? If the answer is yes, then you may find yourself cleaning your house gutters every fall, or possibly more often. Clogged gutters can lead to many problems from broken gutters to possibly home flooding. What techniques do you use to clean your gutters? Do you utilize any additions such as leaf guards to minimize having to clean the gutters?
I live in a town home, but the gutters are my responsibility. I'm lucky that I don't have allot of guttering, but I do have to make sure they are clean before winter time. If I don't, the ice and snow will over flow and make my hanging lights look bad. A ladder is really dangerous to put in the rock garden under the over hang, so I got an extension for my hose. Its got a pressure nozzle and a hooking end so I just turn on the hose, put it at one end and blast everything down the gutter into the yard. You have to learn to keep it clean because this doesn't work if it piles up. To much gunk and leaves from that infernal acorn tree and the down drain pipe will clog and you will have to take it apart to clean it.
