Yes, I do feel nauseated occasionaly, but it has not been too bad, especially compared to stories that I have heard! Mostly it stays in the background until my stomach gets empty again, or there is a really strong smell. But usually having a snack takes care of it. Speaking of snacks, I could use one right about now...

Dimavo's Baby! Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

Well, I have one bit of exciting news...

We're having a Boy!

But of course, we still have absolutely no idea on a name. We have a list of about 10+ names so far. I consider myself poor at making decisions, and the way I see it, why make this decision before we have to? Might as well procrastinate it.... biggrin.gif Top on our list, however, is Arthur, Ashton and Jarom, and for the middle name we want to use a family name.

One interesting thing about our visit is that the due date changed again. According to when I think I had my last period, the due date should be Dec. 15th. But according the the first ultrasound around week 8, the due date should be the 23rd. According to this latest ultrasound, the due date is back to the 15th! My doctor said the first ultrasound is more accurate, so he averaged it to the 19th now. So when people ask, I just say mid-December.

I am feeling great these days, though I hear that is normal for the second trimester. we are on the 22nd week. More than halfway done! Yay!

Wow, you have to be very excited by now, your over the hump so to speak! Glad to here that everything is going well so far, looks like members having babies on this site are good karma! I have a suggestion for the name since its a boy. I suggest Kent. Kent is a great name, one I personally love and believe its a name that signifies a long happy life. Of course I'm bias!

Actually Konquererz, that is a good name! I liked it so much my husband and I added it to our list. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yes, I am very excited! And actually becoming more and more worried about the whole labor and delivery part as I am increasingly realizing my lack of tolerance for pain. Basically, I just get very scared and panicky. Today I cut my thumb open and had to get stitches for the first time, and I have to say my body did not handle it very well. Nausea set in about every 10 minutes I was at the health center, and my husband told me I turned white as a sheet each time. Fortunately, no fainting of puking. but I was thinking that if I get that freaked out about 4 stitches, how am I going to handle childbirth?!

LDS - I plan on breastfeeding. Right now I'm thinking maybe the first 6-8 months, but of course we'll see how it goes. Right now I don't foresee any reason why I won't be with the baby all day every day, so school or work won't be a problem, since I've heard from many sources that pumping is no fun at all. But of course I've never breastfed a baby before, so I have no idea what its like to be able to say how long I think is good. What are you doing with Jonah? Whatever you are doing, it must be working well - it sounds like he is growing at a healthy rate!

Konquererz, I'll bet this is your name! I like it too, my husbands twin is named Kent. Dimavo, I haven't said congratulations so...congratulations! It's been a while but if I remember right, by the time the baby gets ready to be born you won't care how much pain it takes to have the baby, anything just to be able to say your body is your own again. Most of us lose our fear by the eighth month. laugh.gif

Dimavo- don't worry so much about the pain. LEARN about it! Childbirth is a normal, natural function of the human female body, and if you learn about it and work with your body it won't be such a daunting experience. Yes, there will be pain, but it's "normal" and even "healthy" pain! Even more important, learn some good relaxation techniques for labor, and make sure you have a good support person with you, whether it's your husband, your mom, or your best friend makes no real difference so long as it's someone you can trust absolutely.

Congratulations on your decision to breastfeed your little darling. It's the best thing for both you and the baby. Bet you can't stop at 8 months wink.gif Right, LDS_Forever?
