Dmoses Introduction

I currently live in Northern Colorado with my wife and two wild kids. I enjoy pottery, driving, and the history channel. I dislike menudo, tripe, and grammar nazis. The first two are just gross, and I find the latter quite anoying.

Welcome to the forum, dmoses! After reading your introduction I had to do some research as I did not know what menudo or tripe was. I had heard of a group called menudo, but I didn't think that was what you were referring too. Anyway, I found menudo is a soup, and tripe is a unique dish made from animal stomachs. I can now see why you would detest these two things. As for grammar nazis, there are many of us here, including myself. This is a very intellectual forum, and spelling/grammar is very important to us. Use the Spell Checker; it will help greatly. Also heed the advise that Latina handed out and you should be fine here. Welcome to the Forum, dmoses! My dad loves menudo, and usually has it every weekend. Personally, I find it distasteful, for whatever that's worth.

You don't have to worry so much about grammar nazis as you will the spelling nazi's. Do you make pottery or collect it? We have a great board devoted to Art & Sculpture, where I'm sure pottery topics would fit right in. Of course, don't limit yourself to those boards as we have hundreds of topics to choose from here.
