A Snail Joke

A man was standing on his porch, talking to his neighbor, when he glanced down and noticed a snail at his feet. He picked the snail up and flung it as hard as he could across the street. Three years later, his doorbell rang. He answered the door and the same snail was on his porch again. The snail looked at him resentfully and asked, "What was that all about?"
