None of my kids watched TV till they were nearly two years old. I have always heard that kids should not be allowed to watch tv when they are very young so I kept them away. As a result, all three of my kids love to read and are very imaginative and creative. I let them watch TV now, but they don't watch it all the time, they don't even want to. My son can sit and watch TV for an extended period of time, but most of the time he would rather play outside or in his room or in the play room. He loves to be read to and likes to try to read himself. I believe that all three of my kids ability to entertain themselves results from the lack of TV when they were younger.
