When researching Native American women, you realize just how hard working mothers where. What makes them unique is that the children where at their mothers side constantly, learning from everything they did. As a result, children learned arts and crafts that benefited the community at an early age.

Native American women centered their lives around food, clothing and shelter. They:

* pitched and dismantled housing
* fetched water daily
* planted and cultivated
* prepared and cooked food
* made pots, tools and baskets
* processed animal hides
* herded and sheared sheep
* spun and wove wool
* raised children

None of this was spared when they had children, the kids just came along with them. In Native American culture, everyone pulled their own weight, women, men, and children.
