Argentina is the largest gas producer in South America.The consumption of natural gas is divided into five categories: industrial (35%), electric generation (28%), residential (23%), compressed natural gas (9%), and commercial use (5%).

The industrial demand and compressed natural gas are the largest and one of the smallest categories of consumption and more natural gas will be needed to satisfy the demands in both.
