Cedric Benson seems to be holding out for more money before signing with the Bears but the Bears don't seem to be budging. Is this a case of "who can hold out the longest?" What do fans think when they hear things like this? Are you one who says, "Way to go Benson. You hold out until you get what you want". On the flip side do you think he should be grateful for what he has been offered?

My philosophy is that rookies should be happy with the fact that they drafted and can participate in an NFL team. They should work their hardest to make a good impression, and earn their keep on the team. The money and contracts will come with hard work. Now, if Benson gets the money he wants and is a flop in the NFL, he will have the label of being an underachiever the rest of his career. Not a good way to start in my opinion.

Unfortunately for the team they could be using someone productive that wants to play from that draft spot. Until the owners put some stigma against the players for holding out there will be no real impetuous for them to come to a speedy agreement.

The Bears signed another QB today in the form of Brian Griese, who was released by Miami after signing Daunte Culpepper. This adds a 4th QB in the mix to a team that is already deep in a QB controversy. Rex Grossman was ordained the starter for the Bears, but Kyle Orton lead the team to a winning record before Grossman returned. Now Griese, a grizzled veteran will be battling both Orton and Grossman for the starting position. Chad Hutchinson also factors in but should not be a threat for the starting spot. Some may think this is good because it will make each QB compete harder, but I can only see it as splitting the team. Each player has their preferences for who they would like to see in the game, and ultimately, it is the team that has to stand behind the QB while the head coach has to make the decision.

ST. LOUIS - Devin Hester expects teams to keep on kicking deep to him. And he expects to keep right on returning those kicks to the end zone. The high-stepping rookie got the Rams' home dome rocking with chants of "Let's Go Bears!" as he set an NFL record with his fifth and sixth returns for touchdowns this season, a 94-yard kickoff runback in the second quarter and a 96-yarder in the final period Monday night. That sparked a 42-27 victory that gave the NFC North champions (11-2) a bye for the first week of the playoffs.

Wow, Rex Grossman lived up to all the expectations of him from the 2006-2007 season this Superbowl. He managed to play awfully, through interceptions, fumble the ball, and NOT lead the team to victory. He was once again the quarter back that the Bears could win IN SPITE of instead of because of him.
