Speaking as one who grew up when the original Conan the Barbarian appeared on the big screen, I consider myself a purest to the original movie. After all, where are they going to get awesome one liners like this. . .
Mongolian General: "This is good but what is best in life?"
Conan: "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women."
However, I wonder if it's possible that a remake could do the original storyline justice.
I saw the remake of Clash of the Titans and, although it wasn't anything like the original movie, in itself it wasn't that bad especially considering the totally awesome Medusa scenes. So I wonder if, in itself, this new Conan film will be a decent movie.
Any other opinions out there?
My first impression was this guy isn't as big as Schwarzenegger but definitely cuter. I don't know if his acting will cover for his lack of upper body glory but maybe it won't matter anymore. I might wait til it comes out on DVD to judge.

This Conan was way different from the one with Schwarzenegger. Maybe its more true to the Conan people read about although I haven't read the novels. The star actor did a good job and by the next film I hope he can pack on some more muscles.
