BOY, 7, COMPLETES SWIM FROM ALCATRAZ

A 7-year-old boy has become one of the youngest persons to swim from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco's Aquatic Park.

That's pretty amazing a young boy would have the ambition to train for something like that, and then the endurance to accomplish it. I especially liked his answer when he was asked what the hardest part was. He said, "Swimming." laugh.gif

Youngest Swimmer UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences

Wow, I am surprised that a kid of that age could accomplish such task! I was there (San Franciso Aquatic Park) years ago and you can see from there the Alcatraz prison and in my humble opinion, it is a HUGE distance to swim, even more for a 7 years old! Truly remarkable.

Swimmer Youngest

What an accomplishment. Sometimes I wish I had parents that would encourage me in such feats, because I know I had the potential to do it. It would also go a long way for me now too. I also love the obvious answer given "swimming" - tell him kid.
