Myth Busters
What are your thoughts about the Discovery Channel's Myth Busters series?
I love this show. Admittedly, it does seem to cater towards the geeky crowd or those who like to see stuff blown up periodically. However, it is fun to watch and interesting to see how they tackle some of the old myths. Things like biscuits exploding in a hot car, do you get wetter by walking or running through a rain shower, could "JAWS" really tear a boat in half, do the urban myths of how to elude radar detection work and many others....
It is a good show because it has entertainment value while at the same time educating you about the possibilities and myths put forward by the Busted crew. They seem to focus a lot on what Hollywood would have you believe through movies and whether some of those action scenes are really possible or not.
MythBusters - Season 8 Episode 19 - Adam and Jamie put tornadoes to the test with the help of Discovery's very own STORM CHASERS, Reed Timmer and Sean Casey.
Obama really loves the camera. I understand the White House may want to promote science, but does that mean the President of the United States has to do it himself?
MythBusters - Season 8 Episode 20 - If the "poop hits the fan," does everyone get covered in the ensuing chaos? When you "get cold feet," do your feet really get cold?
MythBusters - Season 8 Episode 21 - Can a motorcycle pull a tablecloth out from under a setting for a banquet? Do humans really only use 10% of their brain?
MythBusters - Season 8 Episode 22 - An archery odyssey for Adam and Jamie. Also: a dangerous driving myth is tested by Kari, Grant and Tory.
