Holy Ghost Or Holy Spirit?

Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit?

Here are some thoughts to consider:

1. Should we refer to the Third Member of the Godhead as Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit?

2. Is the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit a God?

3. Does the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit have to receive a body eventually, in other words will he be born?

Spirit Holy Ghost Holy

This is according to my understanding.

1. He is the Holy Ghost.

2. The Holy Ghost is a god.

3. The Holy Ghost will have to receive a body in order to attain the fulness of Godhood.

The Holy Spirit is the effect of Jesus Christ.

Again, this is ONLY according to MY understanding.

I have heard Prophets refer to him as Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost, So I don't think it matters what we call him

2. Is the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit a God?
If he is in the Godhead Yes in everyright.

3. Does the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit have to receive a body eventually, in other words will he be born?
I have "preached" about this extensively in another thread on this site. I will recap. Yes, he will be born, Joseph Smith Said, "That the Holy Ghost is in a form of probation and if fulfills it in all righteousness, then he will go through a simular or exact course has Christ did."

Spirit Holy Ghost Holy

Adding to Zelph's comment, I think he can be called by either name, but I think that "Holy Ghost" is more appropriate. After all, a spirit can either be a soul/being or a feeling such as the "spirit of happiness", while a ghost is limited to a soul/being. Since the Holy Ghost is not just a feeling, then I believe that "Holy Ghost" would be a more accurate name.
